Various things to report this month!
The most exciting news is the completion of the
refurbishment of Delvin House. We’ve
completely re-modernised the property with new bathrooms, new kitchen, new
floors, new beds (all seven!) and some great new contemporary furniture. Oh,
and some lovely new mood lighting, to boot. We hired a professional interior
designer this time and it was well worth it. Have a
look at this lovely house, very conveniently located for major businesses
and both local and central amenities. You can stay in Bristol on a short let
from just three nights, from £26pppn based on full occupancy. Far better than a
faceless hotel!
Meanwhile, our refurbishment of the Filton house is well under way and we hope to open it up again for short term lets from February 2015. Watch out for news.
We decided to launch this fresh website to celebrate. If you
have any feedback, we’re all ears!
Business continues to boom in this commercial
capital of the south west: many of our major employers such as BAe Systems,
GKN, MoD and Friends Life reporting a buoyant market and Bristol’s office space is set for several
significant deals over the next few months, making 2014 the strongest year by
far since before the recession. Bristol has already overtaken the annual
average for the previous five years.
The newly revamped and expanded Southmead Hospital is
‘bedding’ in nicely with all staff and patients now transferred from Frenchay
Hospital. It’s the most incredible hospital: a truly flagship facility which
seems more like a luxury airport lounge than a hospital when you arrive. If you
have a loved one in the care of Southmead Hospital and you want to be close to
visit, we doubt you could do better than to stay at Delvin
House, which is an eight-minute, flat walk away.
Finally for this month, Christmas is popping up all over the
place in Bristol. Our three major shopping centres – Cabot Circus and
Broadmead, The Mall Galleries and the Mall Cribbs Causeway – are twinkling,
glistening and bustling. If you’re considering a long weekend in Bristol,
shopping, sightseeing or just getting away pre-Christmas, ask about our rental
accommodation in Bristol. Or if you’re visiting your head office for the office
Christmas party 2014, make a stay of it. You and six colleagues could enjoy a
short stay in Bristol for just £185 per night between you. Now that’s an
early Christmas gift.
